Reported by: Unit Wartawan Lecture Hall 1, 25th April 2010 – Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan is an event organized by Lajnah Akedemik & Pembangunan Insan (LAKAD). The goal of this event is to award facilitators and participants of Kelas Bimbingan Peperiksaan (KPP). KPP is a program organized by LAKAD to assist students from primary and secondary school in their studies. More than 40 students of Universiti Teknologi Petronas had become the facilitators for this program. This event started at 9.00 a.m. with a prayer recital by the president of RCSU, brother Hamzah. After that, the event proceeds with an opening speech by Mohamad Hafizi Bin Zakria, the president of Rakan Masjid. Among the things highlighted in the speech was the importance of knowledge as a student. Besides that, he also stressed on the importance of worshiping Allah and practicing good deeds as a Muslim. After the opening speech, a motivational slot was conducted by the former president of Rakan Masjid, Muhammad Akram bin Ismail. A few modules was conducted by brother Akram. Among it was singing the song “Demi Matahari”. The outcome of the slot is that in order to succeed in everything we do, we must have a good mindset and we must set our goals. Besides, we also put a lot of effort in whatever we are doing like in the Quran that says Allah will not change the fate of a people until they change what is in their own (13:11). The next slot was the prize giving ceremony. The first on was for the best students. For UPSR students, the prize was given to Adam Afiq Bin Khairulanuar and Shabrina Tias Warastri. Meanwhile, for PMR students the prize was received by Muhammad Zaim Bin Zainal Abidin and Ain Nur Syafikah Binti Zahir Supian. For SPM students, the prize was given to Muhammad Ashraf Bin Zakaria and Farhana Nur Shuhada Binti Noor Adanan. After that was the award for facilitators. For UPSR facilitators, the award was received by Muhammad Idham Sauli and Siti Nuraisyah Binti Suhaimi. For PMR were Nik Muhammad Hanis Nik Mohamed and Siti Hajar Binti Ali and for SPM were Juhairi Aris bin Muhamad Shuhili and Saidatul Hasniza Binti Hasnen. The award for the most cheerful group was group “Smart Ten”, for the group with most teamwork was “UTP JUNIOR”, the most enthusiastic group was “Khalid Al-Walid”, the most compatible group was “Shipudden”, the most creative group was “Ana Muslim” and the most sporting group was “twenty ten”. Certificate for facilitator January 2010 session was given to Juhairi Aris Bin Muhammad Shuili and for July 2009 session was given to Nik Muhammad Hanif Nik Mohamed. At the end of the event, a nasheed group from UTP gave a performance for all that present. In conclusion, KPP is a great program that helps the students from primary and secondary schools to score in their exams. Hopefully the students that participated in KPP can be successful in their exams and their studies. |
